Welcome to St. Botolph's
Welcome to St. Botolph's Church web site, we are situated on the edge of Kettering in the village of Barton Seagrave, Northamptonshire 'the rose of the shires'. Our united benefice has a sister church, St Edmund's which is in the beautiful village of Warkton about 2 miles away. This too is a lively evangelical church and warmly welcomes visitors from near and far. At Botolph's a ramp allows wheelchair access and the church is fitted with an induction loop system for those with hearing aids.

We're delighted that you are visiting us, and hope that this site will give you the information you need to make your mind up about whether St. Botolph's is the sort of church you would wish to attend. As well as our Sunday activities, the weekly groups are an important feature of St. Botolph's. The main groups for newcomers to join are listed below.

Christianity Explained
Meeting regularly over a number of weeks, this small and informal group explores what it means to be a Christian. It starts at the very beginning, makes no assumptions and bars no questions. You can sit quietly and absorb, or you can raise issues and ask the questions that have been burning in the back of your mind for years. Many have first learned what it means to be a Christian through such groups.

Homegroups
Homegroups are the heartbeat of our church, where we support and encourage each other, study together and pray for one another's needs. Groups meet each fortnight in homes. You needn't travel far as groups are located all around the area.

Baptism and Marriage Enquires
We are delighted to have the opportunity to help people in Barton to prepare for baptism and/or marriage, At these important milestones, many have benefited from the courses we offer, to help in the preparation for these important events. These courses are run on a regular basis by members of the staff team. Please do contact The Rector (marriage) or The Curate (baptism) for further information.

A Brief History
St. Botolph's is a Church of England church, founded in the eleventh century and named after St. Botolph, an Abbot, who died c.680, it is united with St Edmunds at Warkton. Our priority is to teach and explain the historic Christian message as it is revealed to us in the Bible. We welcome those who are exploring and questioning the Gospel, and those who already count themselves as Christians.
