Who is Coming

David Jackman, our team leader

The team:-

What can I do? The most important thing, of course, is to pray. Pray for the steering group which is meeting to plan the week; pray for David and his team as they prepare; pray for good openings in some of the community groups mentioned.

Perhaps above all, though, our most urgent need is that we pray that we are used by God in the build-up to February. Have you known the sheer thrill of seeing a loved one saved by the Lord? Then pray that God might use you again. Have you never been knowingly used by the Lord in such a way? Then pray that He will? but be careful, He might take you up on it! He might give you the opportunity to say you're a Christian! He might cause a friend to ask you what being a Christian is all about!

How can I pray? Such praying can be hard? especially If we're on our own. So we can meet together. Claire Weston is very kindly putting together some cards to prompt us to pray, ideally with one or two other Christians (of the same sex). It might seem embarrassing and disturbing to pray out loud with a friend? but wouldn't it be worth it to see a non-Christian friend converted? What is our embarrassment compared to the love of Jesus for us? Alternatively you may wish to use this prayer

We're expecting each household to be represented at one of these meetings. If circumstances prohibit, please do commit at least one significant prayer time to this work per month? but its much easier with others. So p ease do come if you possibly can.

Whom Should I Invite? Anyone whom you care about and yet who does not yet love the Lord Jesus Christ.

How can I be sure there will be a suitable event? Pray for and talk to any of the steering committee? Martin Perris (Chair), Kate Curnock, Geoff Fawkes, Lyndsey Marcham, Stewart Watson, Claire Weston, Pete Liepins or me. We'll be very happy to field all suggestions? we can put on events and have a talented speaker available: we're relying on you for the guests!
