The "If I Were God..." week - views from the team

If I were God …. I'd make sure everyone could cook like the people of Barton Seagrave! But in addition to all the good food there was much, much more to the mission week. Highlights for me included seeing the way people had obviously invited friends to events, the way that lives had obviously been changed over the past few years amongst newcomers to the church. It was great to see people coming to a new assurance about what Jesus had done for them on the cross, and good to see people coming to the lunchtime events at the school each day. I certainly felt very welcomed by all at the church, and it was also great to be reminded afresh of how amazing the gospel is - that, as David Jackman told us on Sunday morning, it is not by anything we do, but because Jesus died for me that I can be sure of heaven. So thanks should go to all at Barton Seagrave for the hard work put into the mission - so thanks, and keep up the good work of telling people the great news about Jesus.
