Church House was originally built as a Rectory in 1705 and at that time comprised the current entrance hall and rooms G6 G7, F7 F8, F9, F10, as indicated on the plans lower down plus some attic rooms now used as Warden accommodation.
In 1806 a major extension was added behind and to the West side, doubling the floor area of the original Rectory and adding a separate, but attached house which became known as Botolph House.
A major re-ordering of the property took place in 1954, and again in 1982 after purchase by the PCC when accesses were made through the party walls to form a single property.
In 1995 the Rectory kitchen, which was formed in 1954, was converted into a toilet block to the left of the main entrance.
