The Jam Club at St Botolph's caters for children from the ages of three to fourteen attending the 9.15 am Sunday Service with a parent (or guardian). Those under 3 have crèche facilities provided, with all others- in groups- Bubbles (Pre-schol). Splash (Reception), Xstream (years 4,5,6) and The Grid (years 7 & 8). All are very welcome! (Those over 14 meet on Fridays under the name "Link").
Programme
The programme which we use is designed
to teach children about the Lord Jesus, and what it means to follow him. Each
week the children all cover the same biblical material, presented at a level
appropriate to their age group. Stories are presented with use of visual aids
and are followed by discussion, prayer and different activities for each class,
often providing them with something to take home with them each week.
It is a very interactive and fun programme which the children really enjoy.
Format
1st Sunday of the month: Children's Church starts at 9.15 am
in Church House (which adjoins the church building) with the children then joining
the adult congregation for family communion at 10.10 am.
2nd Sunday: The whole congregation remains in the Church building throughout for our monthly Parade Service.
3rd, 4th and 5th Sundays: The whole congregation meets together for the first 20 minutes of the 9.15 am Service and then the children leave for Children's Church in Church House.
Organisation
We provide teaching for every
Sunday of the School year (with Parade Services throughout the year). All of our classes have sufficient registered leaders to meet
the national requirements.
Facilities
We are fortunate to have good
facilities with suitable rooms available in Church House. This enables the varying
needs of different age groups to be well catered for.
Further Information
If you would like to find out more, please contact Veronica Loo or simply come
and observe with your child by leaving the 9.15 am service at the same time
as the other children. All children are very welcome at no cost.
